Eight L-ements
Rick Eason

Eight L-shaped pieces, no two alike, form a solid cube

Objective: Make a solid cube out of the eight pieces. There is only one solution. If you really, really, really must have it then click here.

Another problem: Use the set of pieces to construct two separate solid cubes at the same time. There is only one solution. (Not all pieces are used.)

Other simpler problems are given by trying to create a solid cuboid (a.k.a. rectangular parallelpiped) out of subsets of the pieces. Four pairs of pieces can form simple cuboids. (Can you find them?) Click here for a table listing all subsets of pieces which form cuboids. Note that many have a single solution.
